Privacy Policy and Terms
This page explains how Piglou handles data and the basic terms that apply when you use the app. Piglou is designed to stay local-first: your expense data lives on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Privacy Policy
Piglou is built to help people track spending, bills, and budgets on their iPhone. The app is intentionally simple and does not require an account.
What We Collect
By default, Piglou does not send your expense, bill, or budget data to our servers.
- Expense entries, bill entries, budget settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device.
- If you turn on notifications, the app may request permission to send local reminders for bills.
- If you use export features, the app creates a local CSV or JSON file that you can share manually.
- If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to send in your message.
What We Do Not Collect By Default
- No account sign-in data.
- No cloud sync data from Piglou itself.
- No analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs are used in the app.
- No tracking is used for advertising purposes.
Payments
If Piglou offers a one-time premium unlock, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
How We Use Data
- To display your spending, bills, and budget information inside the app.
- To save your preferences and keep the app working on your device.
- To send bill reminders if you enable notifications.
- To respond to support requests.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Exported files remain wherever you save or share them. If you contact support, we keep your message only as long as needed to respond and maintain basic records.
Privacy Choices
You can manage permissions like notifications in iOS Settings. You can remove the app at any time to delete the local data stored by the app on your device.
Children
Piglou is intended for general consumer use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page.
Data We Handle
- Personal financial notes you enter in the app
- Budget amounts and bill reminders you configure
